Lauro Golf is situated between the towns of Alhaurin de la Torre and Alhaurin El Grande in a conservation area known as Los Caracolillos.  Set in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountain range the views are stunning both across the mountains and to the Guadalhorce Valley below.

Being just a twenty minute drive from Malaga Airport Lauro Golf is ideally placed to explore the regions of Andalucia and some of the magnificent coastal resorts.  An equestrian centre is located just 2km away where you can rent horses by the hour or day.

The golf course at Lauro was built in 1992 by noted designer Folco Nardi,  who created a fantastic parkland course which is easily walked or if required golf buggies are available.  

In January 2003 a new nine holes were added to compliment the existing eighteen holes, thus creating three loops of nine holes which offer a wide variety of playing options.  An old Cortijo style club house provides the perfect place to start and end your round of golf with a variety of good food at reasonable prices, a 15% clubhouse discount is available to all guests staying at Lauro Golf Villas and Apartments.

A new all weather bowling green is due for completion early 2009 and 3 new padel tennis courts.

The club house facilities are very good and very competitively priced, the new La RISA BAR opened in Autumn 2008 which stays open until midnight. There are several very good restaurants and supermarkets in the area offering a wide variety of dining options.
